Paira ("we," "us") is an AI-powered personal stylist and wardrobe app. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what rights you have — in plain language. By using Paira, you agree to this policy.

Account (required). Your email address and password. Your password is stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider (Supabase). We never store your password in readable form. If you sign in with Google instead, we receive your email address, your name, and your Google profile picture from Google to create and identify your account — we never receive your Google password.
Profile (you provide). Your name, your age, and — if you choose to set it — a style preference. You may also create your own wardrobe category names.
Photos. Two kinds, treated very differently (see "How your photos are protected"):
Both come from your device's camera or photo library. We access the camera and library only when you actively choose to add a photo.
Usage data. Which item you wore on which day (only when you mark it), outfits you save, polls you create, votes those polls receive, any price and currency you choose to enter for an item, and — to make your suggestions better — whether you like or skip the daily outfit we show you (we keep only the style and colour labels of that outfit, never a photo).
Clothing attributes. When our AI processes a clothing photo, it also saves short descriptive labels for that item (such as type, colour, length, fit and pattern) to help build better outfits.
Outfits we generate. So your daily “Today's Look” stays the same through the day without being regenerated, we store the one outfit we picked for you each day — just the list of your own items and a short note. Your “Style journey” screen is calculated on your device from the wear and save data above; it is not stored separately.
Notifications. Reminders and daily inspiration are scheduled on your device. We do not collect data about which notifications you receive or open, and you can turn any of them on or off in Settings.
Service counters. To apply the usage limits described in our Terms of Service, we record when you use our AI features (outfit suggestions, photo processing, virtual try-ons, style analysis, weekly plans, travel packing and shopping suggestions). For virtual try-ons we also record how many credits an attempt used and whether it completed. These records contain no content — only your account ID, the feature and a timestamp.
Subscription (only if you subscribe). If you buy Paira Premium, we record your subscription status: whether Premium is active, which plan you bought, when the current period ends, whether Google has granted a grace period after a payment problem, and the day your try-on credit month begins. We also keep a record of each subscription event our subscription provider sends us — for example a purchase, a renewal, a cancellation or an expiry. We never receive or store your card number, CVV, or any other payment credentials — see “Who we share data with”.
Location. Only your approximate location, requested at low accuracy, and only to factor local weather into outfit suggestions. Your location is never stored — it is used for the immediate weather lookup and then discarded. If you decline the permission, the app works normally without weather.
We store photos at two different sensitivity levels. Please read this section carefully, because the difference matters.
Your body photo and virtual try-on results are private. They are kept in a private storage area. Nobody can open them with a plain link. When they are shown to you in the app, they are served through a temporary personal link that expires after about one hour. When one of these images must be sent for AI processing, it is sent through an even shorter temporary link that expires after about ten minutes.
Your clothing photos are stored at public web addresses. They are not listed, indexed, or searchable, and each address contains random, hard-to-guess identifiers — but anyone who has the exact address can open it, and those addresses do not expire.
This is a deliberate trade-off: the polling feature needs it. When you send friends a link to vote on an outfit, they must be able to see the clothing photos without creating an account. Your body photo and try-on results are never included in a poll link — polls only ever contain clothing photos.
Because of this, we recommend sharing poll links only with people you trust.
Legal basis (GDPR / KVKK):
Your data is hosted by Supabase on servers located in the United States (AWS US West / Oregon).
If you are located in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Türkiye, this means your personal data is transferred to and processed in the United States. Such transfers are made under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent safeguards offered by our providers. By using Paira, you acknowledge this transfer.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. We work only with the following service providers, each strictly to run the app:

We never send your email address, your name, or your password to fal.ai, Open-Meteo, Netlify, RevenueCat, Google Play, or the App Store.
How payments and subscriptions work. Paira Premium is sold through your app store — Google Play on Android, or the App Store on iOS. Your payment method — your card details, for example — is entered and handled by Google or Apple, not by us. Paira never sees or stores your card number, CVV, or any other payment credentials. We use RevenueCat to keep track of subscriptions: when you sign in, the app tells RevenueCat your Paira account identifier — the random ID your account has in our database, not your email address and not your name — and RevenueCat tells our server when your subscription starts, renews, is cancelled or expires, so that we know whether to unlock Premium for you. Google, Apple and RevenueCat also process data under their own privacy policies and terms, which we encourage you to read.
How photos reach fal.ai. Your body photo is sent as a temporary link that expires in about ten minutes. Clothing photos are sent as their ordinary public addresses, which do not expire — the same addresses described in "How your photos are protected."
AI training. We do not use your photos, your wardrobe, or anything else you provide to train AI models, and we never sell or license your content to anyone for that purpose. Our AI processing runs through fal.ai; their handling of data submitted to them is governed by their own privacy policy, which we encourage you to read at fal.ai.
Paira's "Complete your closet" feature suggests items that would round out your wardrobe and offers a shopping link for each one. Those links open a search on an online retailer in your device's browser.
We may, now or in the future, participate in retailer affiliate programmes (such as the Amazon Associates programme). Where we do, Paira may earn a small commission if you buy something after following one of our links, at no extra cost to you. Where such links are active, this is disclosed on the screen that shows them.
To be clear about what this is and is not:
We keep your data while your account is active.
When you delete your account from within the app, we permanently delete: every photo in both the public and the private storage areas, every record we hold about you across all our database tables (profile, wardrobe items, saved outfits, wear history, polls, the votes on your polls, all service counters, and your subscription records), and your authentication account itself. This deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
Deleting your Paira account does not cancel a subscription you bought through Google Play or the App Store, and it does not delete the records your app store and RevenueCat keep under their own policies. Cancel your subscription in Google Play or the App Store, and contact them about any data they hold.
Under the GDPR and KVKK, you have the right to access, correct, port, restrict, and object to the processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Under the CCPA/CPRA, California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA, so there is nothing to opt out of. We will never discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

Paira is not intended for anyone under 16. The app requires you to enter your age at sign-up and does not permit accounts for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16; if we learn that we have, we will delete it promptly.
We use encrypted connections for all data in transit, keep sensitive photos in private storage behind short-lived personal links, and enforce access rules at the database level so that one account can never read another account's data. Access to AI features is rate-limited to prevent abuse.
No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we ever become aware of a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, announced in the app.
